How To Find Merged Cells in Excel
- Press and hold CTRL + F on your keyboard. This will open the Find and Replace dialog window.
- Click Options to expand the window, if necessary.
- Make sure that the Find what field is empty. Remove the check marks from the boxes beside Match case and Match entire cell contents, if there are any.
- Click Format and in the resulting box, click the Alignment tab.
- Tick the box beside Merge cells, after which click OK.
- Click the Find all button.
- Once all merged cells are found and listed, press and hold the CTRL + A key combination. From here, you can choose what you want to do with all the merged cells. You can either un-merge them, or you can color them, so that they stand out and you don’t have to look for them.
