Local play methods are all methods that to a different degree use your mac’s capabilities and hardware. Where they differ from each other is in how they emulate Windows functions, and how readily they are available to your specific mac. For example Boot Camp is only compatible with Intel macs, while Apple’s Game Porting Toolkit is only compatible with Apple silicon macs. Parallels is compatible with all macs but lowers overall performance because it runs macOS and Windows at the same time.
