  • Please note that this guide contains editing the registry files. If you closely follow the instructions provided this is safe to use, but never delete or edit other files. We also recommend that you set up a System Restore point – just in case.
  1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing and holding the Windows Key + R.
  2. Type in Regedit.exe and hit Enter.                            1
  3. This will open the Registry Editor. In the left pane search for and click on the registry key titled: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}
  4. To the right, click on System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree and under Value data type 0. If you are using 64-bit Windows 10, you might need to do the same for registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6 2
  5. Close the File explorer window and re-open it. The issue should now be solved and OneDrive will no longer be visible.
